I have had two questions floating about in my head for a while now, the answers to which have so far elluded me. The first is 'Does a fish realise its wet?' and the second is ' I wonder how far I could get on my unicycle?' The answer to the first one will probably remain a mystery but the second will be answered on the 23rd August 2010.

 

Starting that date a group of us are riding, on unicycles, from St Bees Head in Cumbria to Robin Hoods Bay in North Yorkshire, a journey of 160 miles approx and a slight variation on the usual coast to coast ride. I say a slight variation, as we are all on just one wheel you know!!

 

We are going to complete the journey by the weekend of that week and will be riding thirty miles a day, perhaps more, in order to arrive at the bay in time to collapse into a few cold beers!! The training for this event, as the event itself, will be blogged and updated on this site as we count down to the start of our epic event and all we are asking for this self induced punishment is a small donation in order to make our efforts pay off. The BHF is a fantastic charity and they have the most amazing people working for them in finding solutions and recovery from heart disease.
