Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please give me any support you can and sponsor me online for my participation in this relay Channel swim. This is a huge challenge - the average Channel swim distance is 26 miles in water temperatures of 15 degrees Centigrade at best, with only goose fat and a pair of Speedos for protection! All the expenses, including the compulsory pilot boat, are already accounted for, so all the money which I raise will go directly to my three chosen charities.
I have chosen to support The Bone Cancer Research Trust because a guy who left my house at Sherborne School a few years ago was recently diagnosed with the disease. I feel very strongly that I would like to raise money to help the many teenagers and young people affected by this horrible cancer.
I'm also swimming the Channel on behalf of Help for Heroes and Jack's Place @ Naomi House - a new hospice near Winchester for teenagers. If you would also like to support these charities you can visit my pages at:
www.justgiving.com/olliecrosthwaiteeyre-h4h (Help for Heroes)
www.justgiving.com/olliecrosthwaiteeyre-jp (Jack's Place)
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bone Cancer Research Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
