Story

A big thank you from all of us for visiting our page!

We must be mad but in all of our 'spare' time we've committed to competing in the Guide Dogs Coniston Adventure Team Challenge on 17th September 2016

All monies raised will go to Guide Dogs. The Guide Dog service receives no government funding, and relies on the generosity of supporters to change thousands of lives every year.

Every hour, of every day, another person in the UK loses their sight. When this happens, Guide Dogs is there to make sure that they don’t lose their freedom and independence too.

By supporting them we can make a big difference to peoples lives.  The challenge involves a 10km hike to the summit of Old Man Coniston, a 12km mountain bike ride though the forests of Grizedale and finally to kayak a mile across Consiton Water.  In all the challenge should take between 6 and 8 hours weather depending - oh and it's a team race!

Wish us luck and thank you again for your support for this great charity.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
