Story

Thank you for visiting our fund raising page.  You can find out a lot more about our challenge here - www.whosebrightideawasthis.com - and see photos from the training rides right through to the challenge itself.

On Sunday April 3rd 2011, 19 riders, made up largely of Welsh business friends, and 4 support team members will be travelling up to Holyhead on Anglesey, and the following morning will start to cycle south to Cardiff.  We will be riding for 260 miles approximately, stopping in Porthmadog, Aberaeron, and Brecon, before reaching Cardiff Bay Basin just after lunch on Thursday 7th April.

The riders are -

James Emery (COS Group), Nigel Greenaway (Berry Smith Solicitors), Kris Broome (St Davids Foundation), Mike Jordan (Bluegg Creative), Steve Sulley (UHY Peacheys), Joe Flynn (Dresser Wayne), Dale Williams (Yolk Recruitment), Chris Carpenter (Stills Design), Jon Baldwin (Vale Healthcare), Chris Haines (Evolvin), Ron Jarman (Buying Team), Paul Stapleton (Heineken UK), Paul Jones (Loosemores Solicitors), Tim Hawkins (PWC), Peter Regan (Cooper Industries), Simon Thomas (Creative Risk Solutions), Fabio Grech (Berry Smith Solicitors), Steve Bickerton (Advantage Accountants), Adam Davies (Seer Green), and James Howells (MCL Logistics).

Our support team is as follows -

Adrian Hadley (St Davids Foundation), Ravi Nalliah (Biotec Services International), and Jason Llewellyn (Barclays).

We are targetting £20,000 for charities, and although the event has been organised with St David's Foundation Hospice Care, who will receive 50% of the final total, a number of other, personally supported charities will be sharing the remaining 50%.

* St. David's Foundation Hospice Care will receive the Gift-Aid from each donation (if applicable).

The other Charities are as follows: -

Noahs Ark Appeal, Friends of Pendoylan School, World at Play, Cancer Research, UCL Amyloidosis Research Fund, Sparkle.

We have been very lucky to have great support from a number of Welsh businesses, not least -

Tredz, Arriva Trains, Likes Land Rover, as well as our own companies and colleagues.  Thanks to you all.

If you have been sent this link and know one of the riders, support team, or their companies, or support one of the charities we are riding for, please give generously ... it will make the days of being saddle sore, the chaffing, the aching legs all very worthwhile.

We look forward to seeing you all on our return!
