Story
We are a group of students at the University of Bath undertaking a fundraising project for a charity of our choice. We have chosen to support Noah’s Pink Balloon Leukaemia Fund as its crucial research into leukaemia related fungal infections will help to save children’s lives. We are selling Christmas cards to raise money and awareness for the charity so that it can continue this pioneering research. You can either buy the cards from outside the University of Bath library on 5th and 6th December or alternatively, get in touch and we can arrange for the cards to be picked up. These wonderful cards are £5 for a pack of 5 or two packs for £8 but all donations are extremely welcome, regardless of whether you'd like to purchase cards!
Noah was only five when he was diagnosed with leukaemia. Despite a courageous fight, Noah's immune system was too weak to fight off an infection and he died of an invasive fungal infection, Mucormycosis. Noah's Pink Balloon Leukaemia Fund supports the underfunded areas of leukaemia research. Its first project is a research Fellowship into Mucormycosis, which proves deadly for up to 4 out of 5 children so the ability to diagnose fast is essential for children to stand a chance.
These cards have been designed and hand drawn exclusively for Noah’s Pink Balloon Leukaemia Fund. Noah loved art and drew the pink balloon in the charity’s logo which is why we’ve included it in our card designs – they are truly unique. Noah loved all things Christmas and drew a fantastic picture of a red-nosed reindeer in reception which inspired one of the designs.
At Christmas we are reminded that many families are unable to share this time with their lost loved ones. All proceeds from these cards will help the charity so please purchase these wonderful cards so that fewer families experience such a tragic loss. Thank you for taking the time and effort to support this great cause.
