At Zumo we feel as passionate about the environment as we do about cryptocurrency. We spent 6 months looking for an environmentally friendly solution for our debit card and, for now, there are no viable recycled or biodegradable options on the market. Instead, we decided to work alongside WasteAid, a small charity that shares waste management and recycling skills in the world’s poorest places. To help fund the incredible work WasteAid does stopping plastics getting into our precious oceans, team Zumo is attempting a virtual walk from Edinburgh, Scotland to Yaoundé, Cameroon, where WasteAid has one of their projects. This challenge is no mean feat, with a staggering distance of approximately 3,680 miles in a straight line between the two locations. But we are confident that as a team we will be able to accomplish it and we are hoping to raise the equivalent of ten Ethers (approx. £3,200) along the way.
