Story
July 2014, one month before my 39th birthday, my life changed...FOREVER...
My diagnosis was Grade 3 Breast Cancer, fast growing and aggressive. I have come face to face with death now and it ain't pretty.
I have had 3 operations, gruelling FEC-T chemotherapy and 30 blasts of radiotherapy. I've attended around 96 hospital appointments to date and I am tired, I'm so fucking tired right now. My tired is tired.
As a result of chemotherapy, I developed blood clots on my lungs, which I am still on medication for. My cancer is ER +, that means, its hormone positive. I get a monthly implant (Zoladex) in my stomach (the size of an epidural needle), this suppresses my ovaries and has sent me into chemically induced menopause. My cancer likes oestrogen, so they are stopping my body producing oestrogen.
My daily medication (Exemestane), is trying to capture all the stray cancer cells....it's good like that...but can lead to early osteoporosis. My bones fucking ache like crazy!
I am under constant review and this will be until at least 2020, likely to be 2025, lets see.
I'm joining forces with some LEGENDS who have been through this recently too. As tired as I am, as sore as my bones are, I don't care, I will do this..and I heard that mud is involved!
So if you can sacrifice some beer, wine, nappy money etc for this event, it will be GREATLY appreciated!
