When our Westie Bobby passed away in 2023 we were devastated.

Later, we discovered Balkan Underdogs and were fortunate enough to adopt 2 sisters, Lena and Lana.

The girls travelled from Serbia to their new home in Scotland in February 2024.

We took part in Glasgow Kiltwalk 2024 in memory of Bobby, and to raise funds for this wonderful charity. We enjoyed it so much we decided to sign up for Glasgow Kiltwalk again in 2025!

The charity volunteers and trustees work tirelessly to care for dogs and cats in Serbia, taking great care of them until they find their forever homes.

We are forever grateful for the first class care provided to Lena and Lana before they were able to come home to us.

We are grateful for any donations received.

Your donations will help other dogs, and cats, in need so that they have food, medical care and a safe space to shelter until they are adopted.

Support and contact doesn't end when dogs are rehomed. BU also offer full rescue back up and ongoing support to all adopters and supporters of the charity.

We are now part of this amazing community where we share our journey, stories and advice with other adopters and provide updates to rescuers in Serbia (they never forget an animal and love hearing about their new adventures!).
