Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are walking 23 miles in the Kiltwalk on the 27th April.
About 6 months ago we became aware of Happy Doggo, an amazing charity that works with dogs in Thailand. Thailand, along with some other countries across Asia, has a huge street dog problem.
Happy Doggo provides food and medical care for hundreds of these street dogs. They also have a vision to tackle the street dog problem through sterilisation and education. Working with partners across Asia they have sterilised over 50,000 dogs.
Unfortunately, some of the dogs suffer terrible cruelty and part of their work involves rescuing these dogs, rehabilitating them and finding them a forever home.
Please if you can take time to check out Happy Doggo. There are ups and downs but the stories of these dogs are truly inspiring.
We are doing this walk in honour of one of the street dogs rescued by Happy Doggo. They named her Alba, which means Sunrise in Italian. Unfortunately, beautiful Alba only lived to see 14 sunrises after she was rescued. Although they were unable to save her, she knew comfort and love for that short time.
Thank you for any support you can give.
