Story
My dad has had tinnitus for years but has always just coped with it. On the 26th October 2019 the volume of his tinnitus went so loud it made him ill. He couldn’t cope and his mental health was bad. He felt so low and didn’t want to carry on at one stage. We was very worried about him. I didn’t know anything about tinnitus at the beginning but now having done lots of research I know quite a bit. I was surprised how many people have it including my husband. Lots of people don’t talk about it as it’s a condition which cannot be seen or heard plus there is no cure. I can’t imagine suffering from it and I would love to help the British tinnitus association raise as much money as possible so in the future more people don’t have to suffer like my dad and husband.
The British Tinnitus Association is the only national charity specialising in tinnitus support. Their vision is a world where no one suffers from tinnitus. They receive no money directly from the government, so are 100% reliant on the generosity and support of members of the public and grant-making organisations to be able to support people with tinnitus across the UK.All of their work is paid for by the generosity of supporters like you.
