Story
OK, so I have already done the walk but thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
From the 24th – 30th October I walked the South Downs Way, 100 miles from Winchester to Beachy Head, to raise funds to help finish the Renewal of St Martin-in-the-Fields. This £36 million project is very near completion and just £1.7 million remained to be raised.
The last 5% of any campaign is always the hardest part. So as the Vicar of St Martin’s I wanted to encourage everyone to give – by asking you to sponsor me so that I can come back from this walk, at the end of my Sabbatical, with a substantial contribution towards the remaining target.
If you have already done so, THANK YOU. The amounts being given as I walked were really encouraging. They made me realize how much I had to keep going and couldn’t cheat!
If you haven’t yet given, it’s not too late - and if you are a UK tax-payer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box.
Thank you very much for helping the Renewal and for getting me back to St Martin’s with a spring in my step. It’s great to be back.
