*Scroll down for English Version*
Byddaf yn rhedeg y ras 10K yn Llundain ar 13 Gorffennaf er mwyn codi ymwybyddiaeth ac arian ar gyfer y gwaith da mae'r elusen Coeliac UK yn ei wneud.
Ym mis Awst 2010, pan oedd Lili yn 4 oed, gawson ni wybod ei bod hi’n dioddef o'r afiechyd coeliac. Mae hi wedi bod ar ddeiet heb gluten ers hynny ac yn teimlo dipyn yn well erbyn hyn.
Fel y gallwch
ddychmygu, mae'n anodd cadw ato oherwydd bod hi'n anodd
iddi bicio mewn i gael bwyd sydyn fel Macdonalds neu Burger King. Ma hi'n teimlo fel bo hi'n niwsans mawr drwy ofyn be sy'n
"gluten free" bob tro rydyn ni'n bwyta allan Ma hi hefyd, gan amlaf, yn
gorfod mynd a pecyn bwyd i bartion ei ffrindiau ac yn gorfod gwrthod y
gacen pen-blwydd!
Wedi dweud hyn, mae hi'n lwcus iawn ei bod hi wedi cael
diagnosis yn ifanc gan fod siawns uchel o ddatblygu cancer ar y bowel os nad
yw'n cael ei ddarganfod a'i drin. Mae afiechyd coeliac yn medru arwain at lawer
o afiechydon eraill hefyd gan nad yw'r maeth hanfodol mae'r corff ei angen yn
cael ei amsugno o'r bwyd.
Mae'r elusen Coeliac UK yn gwneud gwaith anhygoel o dda i hybu ymwybyddiaeth ar gyfer yr afiechyd, helpu pobl ddelio gyda'r afiechyd o ddydd i ddydd, trefnu cyfarfodydd i gael trio bwydydd newydd ac ariannu ymchwil i’r afiechyd fel efallai na fydd rhaid i 'coeliacs' gadw at ddeiet heb gluten yn y dyfodol. Maent hefyd yn cyhoeddi llyfr pob blwyddyn yn rhestru'r cynnyrch sydd ddim yn cynnwys glwten ac mae ganddynt wefan ddefnyddiol iawn felly ewch arni i gael golwg ar eu gwaith caled: www.coeliacuk.co.uk.
Gobeithio fod hyn wedi eich sbarduno i'n noddi. Diolch yn fawr am eich cefnogaeth!!
Nia (a Lili) xx

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be attempting to run the London 10K on 13 July to raise awareness and money for Coeliac UK. In August 2010, when Lili was 4 years old, she was diagnosed with coeliac disease. The only cure for this is a strict gluten free diet for life. As I’m sure you can imagine it’s very difficult to stick to it as it’s nearly impossible for her to pop into Macdonalds or Burger King etc. She feels like she’s making a fuss when we eat out as we have to ask for gluten free food and the choice is very restrictive. She normally has to take a packed lunch to her friends parties and has to refuse the birthday cake!
After saying all of this, we have to be thankful that she has been diagnosed early because the chances of developing bowel cancer is significantly increased if coeliac disease is undiagnosed. It can also lead to other diseases because vital nutrients are not absorbed from food.
Coeliac UK work hard to increase awareness for the disease, help people deal with it from day to day, organize meetings to try new foods and fund research into the disease. They also publish a book each year with a list of all gluten free products currently available and also have a very useful website, so take a look at: www.coeliacuk.co.uk.
I hope this will
encourage you to sponsor me. Thank you very much for your support!!
