Story

This year when you wake up feeling tired and sluggish on New Years Day, why not shake off the excesses of Christmas by running into the sea. It’s freezing, you’ll scream and laugh your head off with all the other crazy folk but you’ll love it and you’ll be glad you got up off the sofa and did something.

This is the seventh year that an ever-growing group of hardy souls have taken the plunge on New Years Day in aid of a good cause. This year’s charity is Marie Curie Cancer Care and ALL money raised will go directly to this great cause.

So start the year with doing something fun which you’ve maybe never done before, and raise some money for charity at the same time.

Register for free at: www.newyeardip.weebly.com and perhaps make a donation to Marie Curie at the same time. We’re on facebook toom just search new year dip

St John’s Ambulance will be in attendance and there will be free hot drinks and food for all taking the plunge.

Check the website for up-to-date info and come join us at 1pm on New Years Day at Browns Bay, Islandmagee.
