New Leaf Trust is a UK based charity that is set up for the prevention or relief of poverty/ financial hardship anywhere in the world but focusing mainly on the impoverished tea growing regions, in particular but not exclusively by
a) Providing or assisting in the provision of education, training, healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient.
b) Improving educational infrastructure and facilities in areas most in need, often working in alliance with local bodies and NGOs.
c) Developing technical capacity of schools and teachers’ pedagogical skills by creating training programmes and materials for teachers and educators, raising awareness about their own role in the education process with the view to providing them with strategies for gender sensitive teaching and
d) Encouraging and supporting individual students, especially girls who are willing and capable of acquiring further and higher education but are unable to, due to financial constraints.
