Story
MY SMALL CHRISTMAS
MySmallHelp is a charity that my brothers and I have supported for a decade, both through at-home fundraising and hands-on work at the Marybert School in Kathmandu, Nepal. MySmallHelp now has offices in Nepal, the UK and Australia raising money to improve the lives of disadvantaged Nepali children. MySmallHelp helps to provide clean water, clothing, food, a roof, an education and so much more for those most at need. My oldest brother, Matt, is even helping them to build a school in 2022!
Like all of us Nepal has been hit hard by Covid-19, and sadly the virus took the lives of Marybert's Pastor and his Wife (known lovingly as father and mother by all those at Marybert). This will be the children's first Christmas without these wonderful people, but the amazing team at Marybert are supporting the children and each other through this unprecedented time, and we want to help in whatever way we can.
Myself (Charlotte) and my brothers (Matt and Aaron) are asking our friends to help us raise funds for a Christmas treat for the children cared for by Marybert School, supported by MySmallHelp. Our good friend at Marybert, Raju, has spoken with the older children and they have provided us a list of essential items that for these children will be a Christmas treat. Please see below:
Christmas Treat
Food with Fruits: Rs. 10000 / £65
Toiletries Items (Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrush and more): Rs. 10000 (2 months) / £65
Sanitary pads (6 children need Sanitary pads) 2 packets per month per person (24 x 6 = 144 packets ) 144 x Rs. 60 = Rs. 8640 / £56 for a year
Inner wears, socks for a year: Rs. 10000 / £65
Christmas cake and sweets: 4500 / £30
Please support us in our fundraising efforts, whether that is through donations or simply sharing our page. We appreciate all your help to give these wonderful children a gift to open after what has been such a difficult time for us all.
Merry Christmas
Charlotte, Aaron & Matt
