Watch out! At 2:06 pm Sunday 26 April I am leaving behind my middle-aged, deskbound persona and joining the 2.6 challenge by running 2.6miles to raise much needed funds for Carers Worldwide!

Donate £2.60 and let me know if I should do the run dressed in a hula skirt, a tutu, a gorilla outfit or all three! 

Carers Worldwide is the only organisation working exclusively and strategically with unpaid family carers in the developing world; carers who lack access to an equivalent to the UK's marvellous NHS. 

£26 could allow Carers Worldwide to:

- provide a sanitation package for one household. This package includes soap, laundry detergent, reusable sanitary items for women, and a jug and bucket for washing hands as people don’t always have access to running water.

- pay for a counsellor to spend a day with a group of carers (after any lockdowns that are in place)

£260 will mean Carers Worldwide can:

- reach 502 carers and their families with emergency relief

- provide nutritious food to disabled children at one of Carers Worldwide’s community caring centres for a year once the pandemic is over
