Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

In 2016 our Grandmother lost her battle against dementia, before she got dementia none of us even knew dementia could end your life, so we want to raise awareness for this cause.

Dementia does not just effect the person who is suffering with it but all those around them.

Our grandmother was one of the strongest women we knew and dementia completely changed her life as well as ours. She went from being the most independent person we knew to not being able to do anything for herself and in the end she was unable to recognise us.

In the Indian Community dementia still is not discussed openly and people do not always face up to the realities that face them.

In one way or another she shaped and influenced our lives and we will never forget her.

She lives on in the memory's we have and the way in which we live our lives.
