Michelle loved Christmas with all her family and friends, and during the festive season we all enjoyed drinking a glass of her delicious mulled
wine.  She also loved singing so we thought it would be great to get together to sing some carols, raise a glass to our lovely Michelle and also raise some money for the Michelle Zalkin Scholarship. 

UPDATE: We have to date awarded scholarships to 8 medical professionals and funded a doctor to do PHD research into non-accidental brain injury in children.  These people are doing valuable work in the community across the UK and abroad - kids lives are better as a direct result of your generosity.

As you probably know, the Michelle Zalkin Scholarship has been setup to fully fund a place each year at University College London on their Masters Degree in Paediatric and Child Health.  This degree has a special focus on child protection, the field in which Michelle was an expert and will give the student the opportunity to push their knowledge to the next level, to contribute to valuable research in child protection and to make a bigger difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

Michelle was passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and protecting children and young people from maltreatment. She was a natural leader, who ensured that all those around her were able to learn and improve with her.

Through her work Michelle touched the lives of so many children.   She may be gone but her spirit remains and we ask you please to help us to make sure that children continue to benefit from the expertise that this degree will deliver.
