Story
This is for an event on 28th May 2016.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I used to run. And then I stopped. For a long time.
I started again in December 2014, easing in to 5km. This was after a few years of being back on the cigarettes (which have now been firmly scrapped).
I have never run more than 10km in any official (or un-official for that matter) capacity. That is about to change. Spectacularly, I hope.
I want to really push myself and also make a difference for my chosen charity.
So... I have decided to run my first ULTRA marathon; that's 100km in total... oh, and I have to do it within 15 hours.
This run will take me (and the other brave people taking part) from Richmond, London to Brighton across downs, countryside and some urban track.
I have just under 12 months to train for this. Just under 12 months to mentally and physically prepare for what I'm sure will be a painful, sometimes downright nasty experience.. but one that I am also sure will be incredibly rewarding.
I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Society. Please support me and support them by donating.
Thank you!
