Story

Hello good ladies and gents,

First off, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

On the 21 July, I will be hosting a Great Blooming Tea Party on behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care.

As background, the charity provides end of life care to the terminally ill, allowing them to have a peaceful end to life and giving the family the support they need. As I lost my mum to cancer when I was 13, I know how important it is to have a strong support system around a person at that stage and I only wish my family would have had the added benefit of the Marie Curie nurses at that time.

If you would like a bit more information please head to www.mariecurie.org.uk/ or watch this rather beautiful ad here:

To help out, I have paired up with the fabulous Opium Bar (http://opiumchinatown.com/) in London's Chinatown for an afternoon of cocktails and jazz on the 21 July from 3-7pm. Glengoyne whisky has been kind enough to donate bottles of its teapot dram (available normally only at the distillery) and attendees will receive a bespoke cocktail in a teacup to enjoy while listening to the beautiful singing of Brazilian jazz songstress Aline Stoffel (more details on her here: http://www.alinestoffel.com/).

Tickets will be £13 ahead of time or £15 on the door and all ticket sales will go directly to the hospice. To purchase a ticket ahead of time, simply donate £13 on this page and include your name in the 'donated by' box by the morning of the 21st and you will be added to the guest list.

If you're not able to attend but would still like to donate any other amount, please feel free to - every extra pound makes a big difference and I thank you wholeheartedly for your support.
