Story
Miranda died on 1 June 2020, a year after being diagnosed with metastatic bowel cancer, at the age of 39.
She was a mother to Humphrey, Hester and Heath, a wife to Jack, and a beloved sister and daughter. She was an exceptional friend to so many of you. Her career moved between her passions for the arts, equality, communications and people. As a fervent feminist, after many years in television and theatre she was involved in the launch of the Women’s Equality Party. More recently Miranda worked as a public speaking coach, mentor and specialist in storytelling. She helped people – particularly young women – find their voice and their story. She had an extraordinary and colourful presence, a sharp mind, quick wit, easy smile and dynamic energy.
In memory of Miranda we are raising money for the Rosa Fund, which is an amazing organisation which helps to make the UK a fairer, safer place for women and girls. The Rosa Fund is local to us in Islington but funds grass-roots organisations across the UK.
Thank you so much from all of us: Jack, Humphrey, Hester, Heath, Brian, Tessa, Rose, Ed and Matilda
