Story
So, 3rd March was my 40th birthday! I know, I look 25 (I wish...) but as this year is a biggie, I would like to do something extra special to raise money.
Along with a small group of parents with children with Down Syndrome, I was part of starting DS Achieve just over two years ago and in a short space of time we have developed a number of services... a pre-school teaching class, a social development group for primary school-aged children, training events for parents/carers and professionals, a Creative Arts Therapy group, and recently our Empowerment Group for parents and carers to focus on their own wellbeing.
I love what our charity stands for and what it offers families like mine, but we can only continue to do that with funding, and every penny really does help to deliver the services we offer. In fact, as you can probably imagine, we have a huge long list of even more things we want to do!
So... if you one of the many lovely people who kindly sent me a message, a card or even a pressie (HUGE thank you!!!) or even if you did none of those 😜, please consider donating even a small amount to this fundraiser for DS Achieve. It really would mean a lot to me and my family, and all the families who benefit from the services we're able to offer.
Thank you for reading, and wish me luck in my forties! 😨
