Story
“Their meat will not reach Allah , nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.” (Quran, 22:37)
In Islam, all that is demanded as a sacrifice is one’s personal willingness to submit one’s ego and individual will to Allah(most high).
Eid-ul-Adha marks the beginning of Qurbani (Udhiya)– a unique opportunity to attain closeness to Allah (most high). In a Hadith narrated in Tirmidhi it is mentioned:
“There is nothing dearer to Allah during the days of Qurbani than the sacrificing of animals.” (Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)
Over the years Muslim Charity has performed Qurbani on behalf of thousands of donors and distributed the meat amongst the neediest Muslim brothers and sisters around the world.
Last year around 310,000 people benefited through Muslim Charity’s comprehensive Qurbani project around the world.
Qurbani is not just a meat distribution process; it provides a sense of hope to our brothers and sisters around the world and is an excellent opportunity for the sharing of happiness around the world.
In implementing our Qurbani project, Muslim Charity ensures the selection of a diverse range of beneficiaries. Our local offices and partners carefully identify communities to ensure your help reaches those who need it most.
