In April 2025, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause - Charlie’s Promise Charity. Charlie was quite local to us and he went to Godalming College and in the same year as my daughter, Maddie. He was known to be a lovely boy but died in the summer of 2023 when he was violently stabbed at a party. His dad, Martin, has taken on the mantle of going around to schools to educate all students about the danger of carrying knives.
