Story
This idea is either genius or stupid.
But it’s for a good cause – raising money to support Young People facing mental health challenges. Challenges that have only increased during two years of lockdowns.
So here’s the idea. On the 18th of June we're staging a fund-raising show called 'Changing Stories' in South London. The theatre we've blagged free-of-charge from the awesome Alleyn's School has 350 seats. So that’s the most tickets we can sell.
But what if we also sell tickets to people who can’t come to the show on that date, but who want to support the cause. A non-attendance ticket. A Ghost Ticket.
Here's how it works:
Just donate £10 on this page to the Maudsley and you'll have bought one, imaginary, Ghost Ticket. If you'd like to donate more, just do it in multiples of £10.
You won't get anything physical in return, but you'll know you'll have done your bit to help Young People facing all kinds of pressures and challenges. And you'll have helped invent a new form of charitable giving.
If we can get Ghost Tickets to work for this one show then, potentially, any charity, staging any event, anywhere, might have a new, vast, source of income to tap in to. Frankly, if this idea catches on it could raise millions. And it starts here.
So why not buy a ticket, or two, or ten, and be a part of it? This might just be your chance to change the world.
All the money raised goes to The Maudsley Charity’s brilliant ‘Change The Story’ campaign.
Much love to you all. And to any Young Person out there who really needs to know that they’re not on their own.
