Story
At the end of last year my cousin Martin Pears was diagnosed with leukaemia and died shortly after. Since then money has been raised for The Youth Oncology Unit at The Christie where Martin was well looked after. The target is to raise £15,000, which means Martin will get his own leaf on The Christie Tree of Hope. Some of Martin's friends and family have organised upcoming events to reach this target and i was keen to contribute.
This is the plan. On August 5th me and 2 friends (Gary Mckevitt, Phil Barker) will set off from Barrow in our £100 Renault Van (painted blue and pink) to get to the start line in Den Haag, Holland. This will be the beginning of a journey over 5 days which will see us pass through Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, the Arctic Circle. Oh yeah, and then we've got to drive back! To look at the challenge in more detail please follow this link.
Our aim is to raise £500 to make a good contibution to the £15,000 target, however, the more raised the better. any donations would be gratefully received even if its just the price that you would pay for a drink.
