Martyn's Epic Ride

London to Paris cycle challenge · 18 May 2016 to 22 May 2016 ·
Thanks for dropping by!
I will soon be making my way from London to Paris on an uncomfortably narrow bicycle seat using nothing but my own leg power, and the assistance of one of those trusty cross-channel ferries. It's nearly five hundred kilometres, and it'll probably be raining.
"Why would he do such a crazy thing?" I hear you cry!
Recently, I spent the day at St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney, and I saw the work that they do first hand. It's a very moving place but—despite expecting it to be sad and unhappy—I found a building filled with cheery people enjoying their lives and not allowing their terminal or untreatable illnesses to get them down. I also discovered that the hospice costs over £14m per year to run, which is a startling figure. I'd like to do my part to help towards this, and keep the doors open for the benefit of anyone who may one day need it.
Please donate as generously as you are able, but remember that even a few pennies helps! Don't forget to tick that box to add GiftAid too. It costs you nothing, but adds a whole 20% to your donation.
Thanks! Now I just need to work out how I'm going to get back…
