Story
Our beautiful baby boy Noah passed away at just 6 weeks of age.
We managed to be close to him and look after him as much as was possible whilst in specialist care at the Neonatal Unit at James Cook Hospital, we never left his side and neither did his carers. We needed the help of a dedicated team of Doctors and Nurses to work around the clock to care for Noah and work with us as parents to be able to help him for ourselves over the last 6 weeks.
Noah was able to feel so loved not only by his close family but by the staff who were on hand every second that he was alive. Noah wouldn't have been given a chance to feel this if the staff weren't tireless and go above and beyond with everything that they did. They were there to support us as parents in the worst time of our lives and we need to show our appreciation for them.
The Neonatal unit was a place we never really knew existed at James Cook but struggle to imagine how any hospital could ever exist without one. The work they do can never be appreciated enough but every penny we can raise in support can be the very least we can hope to offer them. We want to remember Noah's time with us an amazingly lucky 6 weeks, we want to feel lucky that we were given that time with him to show him how much we loved him and were glad that he was able to feel it. It was with their help that this was possible and we can never thank them enough.
If you can give anything at all, the Neonatal team and future families in need will be supported and accepting the gift aid option can only help give more! for free!
