I think we all know at least someone who has been taken away by cancer. One of my best friend's mum passed away earlier this year to a brain tumour and the mother of another one of my best friends is fighting cancer right now. I've known them since I was 14 and it hurts to see them suffer and not be able to help. 

By running this race I want to raise awareness and money so that other families and friends don't have to go through the same pain. It will also be a challenge for me as I've never run a 5k, but the cause will keep me motivated when training!
