We support partners across Southern Africa to to fight for greater equality and rights

Story

On 18 July Nelson Mandela will celebrate his 94 birthday. I’ll be celebrating his big day by lighting the candles on a birthday cake on top of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, all in 24 hours and raising funds for Action for Southern Africa.

ACTSA was established as the successor organisation to the Anti-Apartheid Movement at the call of Nelson Mandela and others, to campaign for development, democracy and rights for the people of southern Africa.

We work on issues that really matter to the development of the region including gender equality, the terrible impact of HIV/AIDS and democracy and rights for the people of Zimbabwe and Swaziland.

It's a great organisation that makes a real difference and one I'm very proud to work for.

So please support development and democracy for southern Africa by sponsoring me to climb the three peaks.

Sponsoring me only takes a few seconds and you'll be helping a brilliant cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to ACTSA, so please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks,

Mark
