Why would Dr. Klimas, an infections disease researcher and doctor supervising both an HIV and an ME clinic say this? It's a long complicated story, but basically it comes down to money.

While some progress has been made in terms of research since Dr Klimas made that statment, myalgic encephalomyelitis is still stigmatized and under researched. It has been proven now in multiple independent studies that the media's portrayal of ME (aka chronic fatigue syndrome) as a psychiatric illness was not based on fact.  ME is a systemic, debilitating, chronic illness that many power stake holders in the medical community continue to ignore.

Please help raise money for more research into the etiology of this illness so that new treatments can be discovered and a possible cure or preventative measures can be taken.  

Research now indicates that ME most likely is a retro-virus. Your donation can helo work towards means of earlier diagnosis which could mean one day earlier intervention.
