Hi all! I decided a few months ago that instead  of anyone sending me cards, flowers or gifts for my 60th birthday on  April 10th (I know - you're all aghast, thinking "She is NEVER  nearly  60 years old!) I would like to ask you all if you would please donate to my JustGiving page to raise a few pounds for Blood Bikes Cumbria.

They are all local volunteers that deliver blood and medical supplies, out of hours, between hospitals in north and west Cumbria, as well as  laboritories in Newcastle, and transport emergency samples between both sites. They do a fantastic job, helping to save peoples lives as well as saving loads of money for our fantastic NHS.

So, please, however big or small, whatever you can afford, could you give the cost you would have spent on a card  that after a week or so gets thrown in recycling bin, a bottle of wine  that only gives you a hangover, flowers that die after a couple of weeks  or chocolate that makes you fatter, haha! Be it 99p or a few pounds all donations will be very welcome, and it's for a great cause.
