Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Manor Colts wanted to do something to help the people of Ukraine in their time of need. They have decided to do this by trying to raise money for Chernobyl Children's Lifeline(CCLL), a small , local, charity mainly run by a team of very loyal and hardworking volunteers and a very dedicated CEO. The charity is based at the Lavender Fields, Hartley Park Farm, Selborne. CCLL, has supported children and their families and communities in Ukraine and Belarus who are still affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986.Many are still suffering from debilitating illnesses as a result. The charity make sure they spend the bare minimum on administration so the vast majority of the money goes directly to helping children and their families. Examples of their works would be building toilets for schools that only have them outside and providing life saving medicines for children. At this moment they are trying to get vital aid into Ukraine support people on the ground affected by the conflict and help evacuate people out of the country using their long established network of volunteers on the ground. They will also be there for the long term to continue their work and help rebuild communities and peoples lives when the current crisis ends.

Manor Colts would like to support this worthwhile charity by asking each player to donate £1 each week for the next three weeks  and encouraging opposition teams and family, friends and local businesses to also donate to.

Please help us support the charity and the people of Ukraine by donating and sharing this page to anyone who you think might be interested.

Many thanks for your support
