Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
My good friend Mark Hohenberg and I will be taking part in the Prudential London 100 on July 31st 2016. In a true act of generosity, Mark has offered to support my cause by requesting donations from family and friend to my very personal cause.
My mum has been ill with Multiple Sclerosis, arthritis, spondylosis and many other serious illnesses for as long as I can remember. Yet every day, with the help from God, she would get up out of bed and make herself look so elegant. She would fight these horrible illness day in day out looking as normal as you and me.
When my Nan became seriously ill she took it upon herself to be her full-time live in carer, giving 24/7 help right up until her day of passing. She never thought about her own needs, even with all of her illnesses taking an ever growing strong hold over her ability to continue caring
My mum has been a fighter all of her life with one thing or another whether it be all illnesses or personal circumstances, and on the face of it victorious you would say in most of this coming through fighting against all odds in many situations.
In May 2015 my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer with just three months life expectancy. This time it's was a fight we knew and she knew she couldn't win. In true style of my mum being a fighter, she has surpassed all expectations and is still fighting strong against this terrible terrible disease.
We are not silly and we understand that this illness will take a hold and will eventually beat her. We are thankful that mum is still with us and continue to count our blessings until judgement day arrives.
Macmillan have been instrumental in assisting my mums continuing fight against this horrible death sentence. Macmillan's support has been immeasurable by way of advice, support, guidance, house visits and so much more that would otherwise not be there to help.
Mark & myself are going to complete this event with my mum's blessing and knowledge knowing that the money raised will go to a special charity giving hope and faith to others in a similar situation.
Please help us with this cause.
