We help disadvantaged children globally to overcome the impact of poverty
Story
Dear Friends,
I'll be 75 on the 7th October. Absolutely no presents please, but I'd be very happy if you would sponsor me that day in helping some disadvantaged and vulnerable children achieve a better life.
I've been connected with the International Children's Trust (ICT) for over forty years. The charity works, protecting street children, with its partners in Mexico, Ecuador, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the Philippines. I've spent time abroad in many of the projects so can personally vouch for ICT's splendid and effective work.
Please sponsor me for the whole day of the 7th October during which I will be performing short bursts of tap dancing in between long periods of reading a really good book of my own choice. I did ask for suggestions about which book I should read. The first three nominated were Recherches du Temps Perdu ( a sadistic friend ), The Karma Sutra (someone even older than me) or the whole Ray Mears back catalogue (my godson). Didn't fancy any of these.
With love and thanks to you all from me and the children you'll help.
Lynn

We help children living in low and middle income countries to overcome the impact of childhood poverty, to be safe from violence, and to exercise their right to education. We work with grassroots and community-led organisations in Ghana, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Sri Lanka, India, Ecuador and Mexico.
