We have set this page up to raise vital funds for the charity sick children's trust, this charity is one very close to our hearts.
Layla-Mae Harkness was born on the 11th October 2015 she was a healthy 7lb 13oz she got home the day after and settled great in the family home. On the 21st October at just 10 days old layla became unwell luckily my sister got her through to west Cumberland hospital on time Layla was now critically ill and things were not looking good. Layla had underlying heart problems none of us were aware and nothing picked up throughout the pregnancy.
The Day after Layla was luckily stable enough to be transferred to the Freeman hospital in Newcastle and that's when our little heart warrior began her fight!!! Layla underwent 2 open chest heart operations and also a operation to close a duct in her side, all this and only weeks old. Throughout her 8 week stay at the Freeman hospital Scott House a home from home accommodation provided Debbie Phil and macauley with a place to stay so they were only ever minutes away from Laylas bedside. These houses are provided by the Sick Childrens Trust Charity and this is why we are fundraising to give something back so that other families in the same position as ours receive the same support..
Layla is now home and doing well she is a absaloute fighter and our special heart warrior.. so for Layla and all the other heart warriors out there let's raise some funds for this amazing charity💗💖
