Story
I.ve been attending the Anchor unit now for 8 years and I'm delighted to have been chosen to take part in "courage on the catwalk".I know how much you'd all have liked to come and see me strut my stuff!!!but as we're all sold out (how amazing is that) perhaps you'd like to give me a little donation on here and in return I promise not to fall flat on my face!!
On a serious note the 1st time I entered the unit it was safe to say I was terrified and thought my number was up!....8 years later am still hear realitavely healthy and on 1st name terms with my nurses and doctors! ...the Anchor Unit is now my safe place .Now while the NHS supplies them with all the brilliant doctors and nurses and equipment they need to do their job they dont supply the other "stuff" like comfy chairs we have for treatment ...sofas,tv,s pictures teas coffees (for patients as well as relitaves)the list is endless. Something you maybe don't know is they also fund reasearch and 2 therapists in the unit if you have a look at my photo's you'll see me having some reflexology from the lovely Helen so if you could possible help me to help them I'd be truely grateful.
