Story
On 3rd June 2017, I will begin my 8-week journey to row 1,800 miles around the coast of Great Britain raising as much money as I can for Centrepoint.
With the unreliable weather, strong currents and the uneven British coastline, it is said that this challenge is tougher than rowing across the Atlantic.
We will row for 2 hours on, and 2 hours off through the day and night for the full 56 days burning around 8,000 calories per day.
Living on a board the tiny boat, 8.6m long by 1.2m wide, with 4 crew mates I nearly know on a diet of dehydrated food and using a bucket as a toilet is going to be quite an experience as well.
I am raising money for Centrepoint because I was homeless for 3 months during 2016. I was sofa surfing at friends houses but sometimes found myself with nowhere to go, so had to sleep in my van in supermarket car parks. It was a very low point in my life indeed.
Now I am back on my feet with a good job and a home, I want to make a difference to other people's lives without a home. This is my opportunity,
Despite being the adventurous type, this challenge is going to push me beyond any physical, mental and emotional challenge I have ever done before.
Please donate what you can so we can provide young people with a warm and safe place to stay and also help them back into a job
Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy following my journey.
And here's the template blurb. I thought I'd leave it in because I reckon it's important information : )
