We provide the basic essentials of life to the vulnerable and needy of Uganda.

Story

LOVED Childrens Centre is a JENGA project running in the centre of the slum of Namatala, Mbale.

It is essentially a day care for children under 3 years old who are at high risk of malnutrition and domestic abuse. The children come to the centre during daytime hours and recieve early years education through play as well as nutritional and medical support. The children come from very diffucult backgrounds and so the centre is a safe place where they can learn what it means to be loved.

Without this centre, these young children are left alone during the day while their mothers struggle to find food for them to eat, which leaves them at a high risk of abuse.

Our children are identified by a qualified social work team, who then work on a weekly basis with the parents. One of our major aims is to support the parents to be able to sustainably take care of their children and so each of the parents have access to AA support groups and IGA and Savings trainings in which they will be trained on how to manage a small buisness which can provide financial support for their families.

For some of our children, LOVED centre has literally made the difference between life and death.

We LOVE our children. We LOVE our parents. We would LOVE you to be a part of this adventure.
