Story
Ok, so here we go, my story so far.
As many of my friends know, I have been fighting the return of this awful disease for the past six years, with the unblinking support of my wonderful husband Mick and our daughter Catherine and her family.
My original diagnosis of breast cancer (1997) turned metastatic last January 2015, in essence, this means that it has spread to other areas, my lymph nodes, my left lung and my liver, and also my bones, leaving me with six malignant tumours and infected lymph nodes. There is no cure, but there are treatments that are helping at this moment in time.
For the past two years, I have been on constant mixes of daily and/or weekly chemotherapy, no breaks, a hard slog for all of my family. I am so proud of them and the support they give me, as do my friends.
So thank you all, I couldn't do any of this without you.
For the past two years I've been hoping to train and compete in the Para 10, held here in Colchester, a reality check was in order and I now admit I'm not going to be able to do this in 2016, so, I have entered this and hope to raise as much as I can with the help of all my friends here.
I'm not asking anyone to donate huge amounts, the minimum is fine as far as I'm concerned, it all adds to the pot and I do understand how money is tight for everyone.
So, please visit my justgivingpage if you can, and add a little.
Thank you everyone who even just takes the time to read this post, and thank you in advance to anyone who is able to donate.
Don't forget to add Gift Aid
If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no extra cost to you.
