Story
Hi All,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I completed the London Marathon in 2010 and raised over £1000 for Macmillan. I'm really lucky to have secured a place again for 2012 and this time I have chosen to run for Myeloma UK.
Several members of my family have been affected by cancer, including my lovely dad, who has myeloma and I am running the 26.2 miles to make him proud. Myeloma, also known as multiple myeloma, is a type of cancer arising from plasma cells which are found in the bone marrow.
Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma and its related disorders. I am running for this charity as they have provided me with information and support in the past. Their broad and innovative range of services cover every aspect of myeloma, from information and support to improving standards of treatment and care through education, research, campaigning and raising awareness.
Any donation you can make is much appreciated, no matter how small. Look out for me on the tele on 22nd April!!
Love Louise xxx
