Lockdown Lowdown: Fundraiser

Fundraising for Home-Start Northampton

Lockdown Lowdown Fundraiser, 23 June 2020

Story

Firstly: a huge, massive 'Thank You' for taking the time to support Home-Start Northampton.

What's this all about?

A week before the UK went into lockdown, myself (Dan), my wife (Fiona) and our two kids (Theo and Xanthe) were in self-isolation. To help pass the time - and for a bit of fun - I started recording 60 second round-up videos that summarised the day.

Nearly 100 days on... and hundreds of thousands of views later... here we are. I'm as shocked as you are.

Why Home-Start Northampton?

There's been talk around what I'll do for Day 100 of Lockdown Lowdown. I've been giving it lots of thought, but ultimately what better way than to use this platform to raise money for Home-Start Northampton.

They specialise in providing much-needed assistance to families in Northampton (where I live), and are trying to positively impact children's lives.

I've chosen a children and family charity because it's so relatable to me and the Career Dad mission (to positively impact as many dads' lives as possible); but also, I want to help as many disadvantaged children as possible.

Together, we can do that.

What you need to do

This bit's simple: give whatever you can. If you've found one of my Lockdown Lowdown videos entertaining, please donate. Every pound makes a difference. I know money can be worrying for some right now, so if you can't give please share this message far and wide.

Thank you

Dan
