Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit LIV JustGiving page for Booth Centre.

Booth Centre in Manchester offers facilities where vulnerable people sleeping rough can get showered, have a hot drink and a hot meal.

When people are ready, the centre offers practical support to help them to move on to employment, education, training or voluntary work in the community. This may involve helping them to prepare CV's, open a bank account and fill in applications. They will go with people to interviews for education and training courses and help them with any equipment they may need. They help people to find work experience placements or to find suitable voluntary work if they are not ready to seek employment immediately.

Additionally they help people gain employment related qualifications, including painting and decorating, catering, warehouse skills, first aid and health and safety.

As well as supporting them financially we will be supporting them with food and other necessities. We have started collection boxes in our offices which are regularly collected and delivered to the centre.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
