Story

A warm hello, from our home to yours.

The sole purpose of getting involved in the Royal Parks Half Marathon was to raise funds for the Swaziland Charitable Trust.

Truth is, I have injured my ankle and won’t be able to run on the 13th of October. Lucky for me, my fearless running partner and rockstar of a roommate, Claire Bosman (pictured beside in the pic above), will be gliding through the 21.1km like a gazelle in the parks. Claire is an avid runner and I couldn’t be more excited that she be the one to run for us.

We have decided that our team approach is exactly what community stands for, supporting and helping one another. Friends, readers and loved ones, we kindly ask for you to support us in showing this beautiful cause some love.

The Swaziland Charitable Trust supports orphaned and vulnerable children further their studies. We were introduced to the charity through our longstanding friend and gent, (sponsor trustee) Jonathan Gilbert.

Donations collected will go to helping the supported children in covering their tertiary education fees, but please see guidelines and the stretch of your potential donations below.

• £70 will pay Primary School fees for a year.

• £400 will pay High School expenses for a year.

• £1,000 will buy roofing materials for a community-built classroom.

• £4,000 will buy the building materials for a school classroom.

General and specific contributions to the work of Swaziland Charitable Trust can be sent to:

There is a fabulous crew all aiming to raise at least £300-500 per runner for the Trust, which as you can see will make a massive difference to the lives of these capable, young individuals.

No amount is too small, perhaps the equivalent of your Monday 8am coffee? It would mean the world to us.

We love you and we love that we can make a small difference in the lives of others in a country that is so close to our South African hearts.
