Story
I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year.
My mother and father are both cancer survivors, and we lost my lovely mother-in-law to cancer several years ago. Personally, I've had treatment for rogue cells which might have developed into cancer, and without which, I might not be alive today. Cancer research is vital and saves lives.
I can't say I will be able to run 10k, but I'm going to give it my best shot, and if I have to walk a lot of it, then it will be when I've reached break point in running. I'm a new runner, so I'll try hard. With Fibromyalgia and Diabetes, keeping health in check is a massive life goal for me, and one for many of us, when we realise the healthier we are, the better placed we are if we find ourselves in a cancer fight. We never lose by trying, even if one step is all we can manage....
Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
