About The Leconfield Hall, Petworth
The Leconfield Hall’s charitable purpose is to provide facilities for recreation and other leisure pursuits for people in the Petworth area, with the object of improving their conditions of life.
Our mission for the Hall over the next five to ten years is to create a place,
well-known throughout West Sussex and beyond, for putting on a wealth of exciting and innovative community and arts activities, in a beautiful historic building with excellent facilities.
We aim to widen and deepen the appeal of the Hall as a venue for community activities - classes, sales, societies and leisure activities; and in the arts – music, cinema, talks, theatre.
To achieve this ambition, we need to increase activities that will generate higher income, that in turn will contribute towards the improvement of the building and our ability to invest in the facilities. This mission creates a ‘virtuous circle’ of activity, income and investment, and will be complimented by charitable funds raised from a wide variety of sources.
