Story

Hi all,

Just a short note to ask you to dig deep into the dust and moths of your wallets and purses and to donate to Marie Curie. As I get older, I have recently seen a number of friends departing this Earth. Fabulous people who have made my life better over the years for a variety of reasons . I guess it makes me think more about my mortality and the fact that my "Devil May Care" attitude is fading rapidly as I pedal through my middle years!

I have met the Marie Curie staff on many occasions in the past 12 years. They are one of a kind; a special breed whose care and compassion are second to none. Your donation will help ensure the running of this wonderful organisation.

For my part, come rain, hail or an unlikely shine, I'm raising money for Marie Curie by riding the 81 miles of the Etape Caledonia on the 8th May this year, at least 71 miles of that will strength-sapping lower back pain, a sore backside and a screwed up face. Yes, cycling is a magical sport indeed! Looking on the bright side, at least these factors will distract me from the pain in my legs.

Please give what you can - many thanks,

Craig
