This year i am running the great north run in aid of the alzheimers society in honour of a very special person my wonderful nana.   This is a charity very close to my heart and i would like to try and raise as much money as possible to help the charity to contiue with the amazing work they undertake on a daily basis. 

Currently over 750,000 people in the UK are affacted by dementia and by 2021 over 1 million people will be affected. Dementia is a term used to describe various different brain disorders that have in common a loss of brain function that is usually progressive and eventually severe. There are many types of dementia, the most common being alzheimers disease, vascular dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies.   Your donations could help fund research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia to improve treatment for people today and to search for a cure for tomorrow.
