About Lango Community Trust (LCT)
Lango Community Trust provides education, vocational training and support to the poorest people living in developing countries exclusively in Lango Sub-region, The key purposes are:
• Education and vocational training;
• To provide poverty relief due to climatic problems and displaced persons.
• To empower the poorest groups people based in Lango sub region living on less than £1 per day. It operates by developing partnerships with groups and working with other civil society organizations in Uganda.
• To provide advocacy and to raise awareness of extreme poverty through research and capacity building.
• To conduct research and to disseminate information to the general public and other development organisations so that people can learn from good outcomes and to promote collaboration in order to reduce chronic poverty across the world due to climatic problems, health and financial hardship.
• To encourage economic and community development.
• To support the general public.
Its mission is to facilitate the gathering, customisation and utilisation of resources, knowledge and skills towards the achievement of better, appropriate and sustainable living standards in the communities that due to the effects of poverty, displacement, disease and exclusion.
