Story
She used to call me 'Kits-the-wits', my darling aunt, Harriet Garland fondly known as Hats, lost her very courageous battle to leukaemia in January 2010. I have tears in my eyes just writing this because I miss her dreadfully. She was everyone's 'go to' lady because she always knew the answer, always listened and was so wonderfully wise. My memories of my aunt span my lifetime and there are so many. It isn't hard to remember her laugh, it was infectious and warm I can't help but smile just thinking of it. She was such an inspiration and if you have a moment please see her obituary (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/harriet-garland-inspirational-mayor-of-camden-1938418.html) to see a snippet of just how amazing she was. She leaves behind her, her beautiful daughter Ems and her lovely family...who is more like a sister from another mister 😘 than my gorgeous cousin. People are working tirelessly to find cures and solutions, so...
Please please please dig deep and sponsor me to run the '5k pretty muddy run' in Ipswich in June. Those who know me, know I'll run after a sheep and run to a pub for last orders, but otherwise not so much so this will be amusing. Feel free to come and laugh!!
